Accident in San Diego

A 6-year-old boy was taken to the hospital on Saturday night after being hit by a vehicle in Pacific Beach, authorities reported. The incident occurred while the child's mother was unpacking their vehicle along the west curb of 5000 Soledad Road. At that moment, the child, who was standing next to her, saw his father across the street and ran towards him. Tragically, he ran into the path of a 75-year-old driver traveling north at a reduced speed. The child was struck by the vehicle and suffered a pelvic fracture as a result of the impact. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, doctors reported that his injuries are not life-threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery. Authorities have confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
