Collision on I-15 Off-Ramp

In a tragic incident, an 86-year-old driver from Fallbrook met with a fatal accident in the Bonsall area. The incident unfolded around 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday at the Interstate 15 southbound off-ramp to Old Highway 396, according to Officer Hunter Gerber from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The collision involved two vehicles - a black Jaguar XF, driven by an 18-year-old woman, and a maroon Toyota Venza, driven by the elderly man. The young woman was exiting the I-15 southbound off-ramp onto Old Highway 396 when she proceeded into the intersection of Old Highway 395 and collided with the Toyota Venza, which the elderly man was driving. First responders rushed to the scene, and the elderly driver was immediately transported to a hospital. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Thankfully, the young woman from Wildomar, California, emerged from the accident unscathed. Authorities have ruled out the involvement of alcohol or drugs in the crash, suggesting that driving under the influence was not a factor. As of now, the identity of the elderly victim has not been released to the public.
