Tragic Bay Bridge Crash

Last week, a tragic collision on the Bay Bridge in San Francisco resulted in the deaths of three individuals. The victims were identified by the San Francisco coroner as Sean Luttjohann, 59, Lorissa Weller, 38, and Bim Thorpe, 29, all from Alameda County. The incident occurred on February 15 when a Mini Cooper, in which the victims were traveling, was struck by a Toyota Tacoma truck. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Public Information Officer Mark Andrews, the collision took place in the early hours of the morning. The driver and backseat passenger of the Mini Cooper were pronounced dead at the scene, while the front seat passenger succumbed to injuries at San Francisco General Hospital. The driver of the Toyota truck sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. The collision occurred near the Treasure Island exit of the Bay Bridge. Reports indicate that the Mini Cooper was stalled in one of the eastbound lanes when the Toyota Tacoma crashed into its rear. The incident was reported by drivers on the bridge around 4 a.m.
