Tragic Apple Valley Crash
Albert Flores, 18, and Zaira Y. Aviles, 18, both from Colton, tragically lost their lives in a rollover crash in Apple Valley on the Interstate 15 Freeway. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 7:16 a.m. on March 6th, as reported by the Victor Valley News Group and the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a solo vehicle, a 2023 Kia Forte, traveling northbound at high speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the right side of the freeway. The car then exited the freeway, entered the open desert, and overturned multiple times, ejecting both the driver and the passenger.
Tragically, both Albert Flores and Zaira Y. Aviles were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The incident is a heartbreaking reminder of the importance of safe driving practices, especially for young drivers.
