Tragedy on River Road
Two people tragically lost their lives in Sonoma County, California, on Tuesday night in a solo car crash. The incident occurred on River Road, west of Laughlin Road, around 10:52 p.m. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers and Sonoma County firefighters responded to reports of the accident and found a Chevy Trailblazer tipped on its side.
The male driver and female passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene. According to officers, the car was traveling east on River Road when, for unknown reasons, it drifted off the road, collided with a tree, and rolled onto its side.
As of now, there are no witnesses to the crash, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the CHP at 707-588-1400.
