Serious Accident in San Diego:
In San Diego, a 57-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run accident, according to local police. The incident occurred on Thursday morning at around 6:11 a.m. as the woman was walking northbound in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Federal Boulevard and Euclid Avenue.
At the same time, an unidentified vehicle was heading west on Federal Boulevard and made a right turn onto Euclid Avenue. During the turn, the vehicle struck the woman and fled the scene without providing assistance, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The impact left the victim with a pelvic fracture and brain bleed, injuries that authorities described as life-threatening. Currently, there is no information available regarding the vehicle or the driver involved.
The traffic division of the San Diego Police Department is conducting an investigation to identify the driver and clarify the details of the accident. The community remains on alert as authorities continue their search for the suspect.
