Hillcrest Road Tragedy
A deadly shooting unfolded at the Hillcrest Car Wash in Hollister, leaving one person dead. The Hollister Police Department swiftly responded to reports of a fight escalating into gunfire around 2:20 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 48-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, later succumbing to his injuries. Authorities arrested 39-year-old Jose Angel Valdez on murder charges related to the shooting. Witnesses provided crucial information about the suspect's vehicle, aiding the police in locating Valdez's residence on Mary Drive. Although initially claiming Valdez wasn't present, his family eventually disclosed his whereabouts. Valdez was apprehended without further trouble on Flynn Road.
