A worker at a fabrication company in San Jacinto lost his life on Monday in a workplace incident involving a vehicle, according to Sergeant Deirdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The fatality occurred at a fabrication company in the 200 block of Bissell Place, and the victim's name has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Just after 12:15 p.m., Riverside County Fire Department medics were called to the business on Bissell Place. Medics found that the patient had already succumbed to his injuries and died, according to Cal Fire spokesperson Rob Roseen.
Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputies and the County Coroner's Bureau arrived soon after. Cal/OSHA was investigating the workplace fatality, Sgt. Vickers said.
The PE.com added that the victim was crushed by a race car that he was working on at the time of the fatal injury.
