Dublin Intersection Chaos
A dramatic incident unfolded at the northwest corner of the busy intersection of Amador Valley Boulevard and San Ramon Road in Dublin, as a car collided with a traffic light. Dublin Police Services shared a startling photo on Twitter, showing the traffic light pole resting atop the mangled front of the vehicle.
This was a solitary crash, with no other vehicles involved, and it resulted in significant damage to a signal pole equipped with a mast arm. City spokesperson Shari Jackman confirmed the details of the incident and reported that the city's Public Works department is actively working to repair the damaged traffic light, aiming to have it operational again by the evening commute.
In response to the incident, the west side of the intersection remains closed to eastbound traffic, causing disruptions for commuters. However, drivers still have the option to travel westbound on Amador Valley Boulevard and make a turn onto San Ramon Road to navigate around the affected area.
