Collision in Sutter County
A fatal accident occurred Thursday afternoon on a road in Sutter County, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The incident took place around 3 p.m. in the area of W. Riego Road and Pacific Avenue, located east of Highway 99.
According to CHP officers' reports, the accident resulted from a head-on collision between a Toyota Corolla and a pickup truck towing a Bobcat. The driver of the Corolla, a 24-year-old resident of Roseville, tragically lost his life at the scene of the accident. The collision also left the pickup truck driver, a 55-year-old man from Sacramento, with minor injuries, and another person traveling in the pickup truck was injured and received medical treatment.
