On September 5th, the cancellation of immigration benefits under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was announced. People who are eligible to renew their permits must do so as soon as possible (before March 5th). People who have already sent in their applications (before September 5th) will still be considered for a work permit. However, previously eligible applicants who do not meet these new deadlines will no longer be able to apply for the program or renew their work permit.
Perhaps you have had a consultation about your immigration status in the past, but the circumstances of your case have changed. The Law Offices of Scott Warmuth invites you to contact us for a free consultation. We can answer your immigration questions and identify potential avenues for legal immigration.
For example, here are some ways you may be able to obtain a work or residence permit that are not commonly known.
- Do you have children serving in the armed forces?
- Have you or a close relative been the victim of domestic abuse or a violent crime?
- Has your employer forced you to work overtime without benefits, threatened you with deportation, or created a hostile work environment?
- Have you previously filed a family petition immigration form that you never knew the outcome to?
