Accidents on Highway 15 in Hesperia

In the busy post-Thanksgiving holiday period, three separate car accidents caused significant disruptions during the morning commute on Highway 15.

On November 24, 2023, at approximately 11:29 a.m., a collision involving four vehicles occurred in the fast lane of northbound Interstate 15, between Ranchero Road and the entrance of Highway 395 connector. The incident involved a golden Chrysler partially trapped under a black Ford SUV, and also included a white Ford Flex and a silver SUV.

Although the crash resulted in significant damage, fortunately no critical injuries were reported. The San Bernardino County Fire Department confirmed that four people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and the injured occupants were subsequently transported to local hospitals for further evaluation and treatment.

As a result of the collision and the subsequent investigation, lanes #1 and #2 of the highway were blocked, causing significant traffic congestion in both northbound and southbound directions.

With the post-Thanksgiving rush already contributing to congestion through the Cajon Pass, these accidents only added further delays for motorists.

The second crash took place at 11:55 a.m., approximately three miles north of the previous incident. It occurred just north of the Highway 395 connector on northbound Highway 15 and involved four vehicles.

One of the drivers involved in this second crash reported to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers that they had collided with a Prius and other vehicles. They exchanged information, but unfortunately, the Prius was unable to move from the lanes.

Another accident was recorded on the northbound Highway 15 at 12:23 p.m., just south of Ranchero Road. This collision involved a black Honda Civic and a golden Honda vehicle. Fortunately, both vehicles were able to safely move to the right shoulder, according to records from the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Although this subsequent crash only blocked one lane, it further worsened the traffic situation in the area.

The California Highway Patrol authorities are actively investigating the accidents. As this is a developing story, we encourage readers to stay updated by checking our website for the latest information.
