Accident in Fullerton

In the early hours of Thursday, April 4th, Fullerton police officers were dispatched to the intersection of S State College Blvd and E Walnut Ave to investigate a traffic accident involving a black vehicle and a tractor truck. Upon arrival, they found a black Honda Civic underneath the rear of the tractor truck. The driver and sole occupant of the Honda Civic was trapped in the driver's seat. The Fullerton Fire Department responded, extricated her, and began life-saving measures before transporting her to a local trauma hospital, where she is currently in critical condition. Preliminary investigation indicates that the tractor truck combination was traveling northbound on S State College Blvd and, while making a left turn onto Walnut Ave, the Honda Civic collided with the side of the tractor truck. The 52-year-old truck driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the cause of the collision. Accident investigators are seeking further information from any witnesses who may have witnessed this crash.
