A man has been taken into custody after a fatal DUI hit-and-run accident that occurred on Friday night in Rancho Cordova, as reported by officials. The incident, which took place near the intersection of Douglas Boulevard and Borderlands Drive, involved a collision between at least two vehicles, resulting in the death of a female driver at the scene, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District. Additionally, three individuals, comprising one adult and two children, were transported to a hospital with minor injuries but are anticipated to make a full recovery, as stated by Metro Fire and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. A 33-year-old man was apprehended and subsequently charged early Saturday morning with felony DUI and manslaughter under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as announced by Sgt.
