Peninsula accident:

SAN BRUNO, California — A three-car collision on the Peninsula resulted in an overturned vehicle and three injuries on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in San Francisco. CHP received reports of a multi-vehicle accident on southbound Interstate 280, north of Sneath Lane, at around 4:30 p.m. Responding officers arrived at the scene to find one of the vehicles overturned on its left side, authorities reported. The overturned vehicle had three occupants, including one adult and two minors. All three were transported to the hospital for "pain-related injuries" resulting from the crash. One of the occupants of one of the other two vehicles sustained a scalp injury. They were taken to a local hospital for further evaluation of the head laceration, according to CHP. As a result of the accident, the right lanes of Interstate 280 were closed for approximately two hours. Around 6 p.m., authorities reopened all lanes, but advised drivers to expect residual delays in the area. This incident highlights the importance of cautious driving on highways, especially in areas where accidents can cause significant delays and pose a safety risk to other motorists. Authorities are continuing to investigate the exact causes of the crash.
