Accident in California:
On Friday, September 6, 2024, at approximately 4:53 p.m., police, firefighters, and emergency medical services responded to the area of Indian Bridge Road and Grammas Lane in California after a reported motor vehicle collision with potential injuries.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found two vehicles involved in a T-bone style collision. In the SUV, both occupants suffered injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Witnesses at the scene reported that the driver of the sedan, a young white male, fled on foot into a nearby wooded area, appearing to have blood on his face and head.
The driver of the sedan, a 20-year-old male operating a 1992 Lexus, returned to the scene of the accident shortly after fleeing. Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating the crash, with speed being considered a potential contributing factor.
Additionally, an open container was observed in the driver’s seat of the sedan, suggesting the possibility that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol or other substances at the time of the crash.
