Tragedy in Pasadena

In the early hours of Saturday, May 11th, around 2:30 a.m., a tragic accident shook the city of Pasadena, California. A Tesla Model 3, carrying six young people aged between 17 and 22, crashed into a building after running a red light and losing control while exceeding double the allowed speed of 35 mph. The impact not only caused the instant death of the 22-year-old driver and two passengers but also left three other occupants critically injured, who were ejected from the vehicle. Preliminary reports suggest that alcohol may have played a role in the accident, although it has not yet been confirmed whether the driver was under its influence. The vehicle reached such a speed that it managed to lift and fly about thirty meters before colliding. The violence of the impact was such that it left 663 residents and local businesses without electricity until approximately 4 p.m. that same day. Fortunately, power was restored later that afternoon. Lieutenant Anthony Russo of the Pasadena Police confirmed that three of the deceased victims and two of the injured passengers were residents of Pasadena, and one injured passenger hailed from Monrovia, Liberia. All injured parties are reported to be in stable condition. This devastating event occurred at a particularly painful time, coinciding with Mother's Day weekend and the season of graduations and prom dances, leaving deep sorrow in the local community.
