Tesla Accident
A solo driver in a Tesla was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 154 on Sunday morning, near Santa Ynez, California. According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the accident occurred near the west of Armour Ranch Road. Crews responded to the call at approximately 9:25 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the black Tesla overturned, landing 150-200 feet from the main road. According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the driver "landed at rest in the Santa Agueda Creek." The vehicle was described as heavily damaged and was towed to a towing company in Buellton.
Currently, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department suspects that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. Traffic west of Highway 154 was impacted due to the accident, according to the department.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
