Accident on I-15 in Victorville:
A traffic accident involving multiple vehicles on the I-15 freeway near Victorville, California, resulted in one person being seriously injured. The incident occurred around 6:30 pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, just south of the Roy Rogers Drive exit.
Upon arrival, emergency teams found several vehicles with extensive damage and others that had come to a stop just before the accident scene. According to incident records from the California Highway Patrol, a white van, a small SUV, and two other vehicles collided, with two occupants trapped in one of the vehicles.
Victorville City firefighters confirmed that an adult male was trapped behind the wheel of a 1998 black Honda Civic and needed to be rescued. He was extricated with the assistance of the Jaws of Life and transported by ambulance to the Victor Valley Global Medical Center and subsequently by helicopter to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
Another man with minor injuries was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Victorville Station of the California Highway Patrol.
