Accident in Thermal
A 22-year-old woman died from her injuries following a crash early afternoon in Thermal. According to the California Highway Patrol, they received a call just before noon regarding a single-vehicle collision in the area of Harrison Street and 68th Avenue.
The driver, a resident of Salton City, was heading north on Harrison Street when she lost control for unknown reasons, CHP stated. The driver was ejected from her vehicle in the crash and unfortunately was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no one else in the vehicle, confirmed an officer to News Channel 3 at the scene. It is unknown if the road is closed in that area, but drivers should try to avoid the intersection at this time as officers investigate the crash site.
