A three-vehicle collision created a roadway hazard, blocking multiple lanes around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday on southbound I-5 just north of the J Street off-ramp in the Southern Pacific/Richards neighborhood, according to California Highway Patrol records.
The incident caused a significant slowdown in traffic on the highway.
Fire crews were responding to the scene. At least one vehicle was rendered inoperable, but this was not confirmed by KCRA 3.
