Sacramento Hit-and-Run
A boy is currently hospitalized following a hit-and-run incident involving a Sacramento County sheriff's deputy's vehicle. The collision occurred at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Brookfield Drive at approximately 10:15 p.m., as confirmed by a spokesperson from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.
According to officials, the deputy was traveling northbound on Franklin, passing through a green traffic signal, when a car heading south attempted to make an illegal turn eastbound onto Brookfield against a red light. The resulting impact caused the deputy's K9 vehicle to be struck.

Tragically, the young boy was struck by the vehicle. Fortunately, he remained conscious and was breathing when emergency services transported him to the hospital for treatment.
Despite the severity of the incident, the driver responsible for the collision fled the scene. Law enforcement authorities have initiated a search operation to locate the perpetrator and bring them to justice.
