A tragic four-car collision occurred on Friday at approximately 3 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 43 and Pond Road in McFarland, California. The incident, as reported by the Kern County Fire Department, resulted in one fatality and left two individuals with severe injuries. The crash took place in close proximity to the railroad tracks, adding to the urgency of the situation. According to official statements, one of the injured victims was airlifted to a medical facility via helicopter to receive prompt medical attention. Meanwhile, another individual was trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the collision. Swift and efficient efforts by firefighters led to the successful extraction of the trapped individual, and thankfully, no firefighters sustained injuries during the rescue operation.
