Tragic Traffic Collision

A fatal traffic collision took place near Sand Canyon on a Saturday afternoon, resulting in the tragic death of a 66-year-old man from Tehachapi, California. The incident was reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Traffic Incident Page, with the initial report coming in at 12:14 p.m. According to the CHP, a witness discovered the lifeless body of the man inside a vehicle near the intersection of Melsetter and Tanganda roads, situated just northeast of Tehachapi. The investigation suggests that the man had been traveling eastbound on Melsetter Road, east of Tanganda, when, for reasons yet unknown, he veered off the roadway and down an embankment, ultimately being ejected from the vehicle. Upon their arrival at the scene, CHP confirmed the unfortunate demise of the man. It remains uncertain whether drugs or alcohol played a role in causing the collision. The identity of the victim is pending release by the Kern County Coroner's Office at a later time. The incident is currently under investigation, with authorities urging anyone who possesses information related to the collision to reach out to Officer B.
