A man was tragically killed in El Cajon after being struck by a car late Tuesday afternoon, officials reported on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:17 p.m. on Tuesday at the 800 block of S. Magnolia Ave., where El Cajon police officers and emergency medical technicians were dispatched following reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered a 66-year-old male victim lying unconscious on the road. The victim was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased is currently withheld as authorities await to inform the next of kin.
