A driver loses his life in a head-on collision in the rural East County. The accident occurred on Buckman Springs Road when a vehicle crossed over into the opposite lane and crashed into another car heading in the opposite direction. Two other individuals were injured and transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, and it is unknown if driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs was a factor.
