Tragedy in Rancho Cucamonga:
A woman lost her life after being hit by several vehicles on the 210 Freeway, following a jump from an overpass near Haven Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga on Friday night. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. on Friday, September 13, when the woman apparently jumped intentionally from the bridge.
After falling onto the eastbound lanes of the 210 Freeway, she was struck by multiple vehicles traveling at approximately 70 miles per hour in the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lane. Rescue personnel who arrived at the scene pronounced her dead upon arrival.
While it was reported that several vehicles hit the woman, it remains unclear whether all drivers involved stopped to render aid or report the incident. As a result of the tragedy, a Sig-Alert was issued, closing the HOV and fast lanes for about two hours while authorities conducted their investigation.
This unfortunate incident has shocked the local community and raised questions about the circumstances that led the woman to take such a fatal decision.
