A tragic accident in Rancho Cucamonga has left two teenagers dead and one hospitalized after the vehicle they were traveling in crashed into a power pole on Friday.
Authorities reported that the three teenagers were heading west on Wilson Avenue when the driver lost control just after passing Haven Avenue around 4:25 p.m. The car crashed into a power pole and then into a tree.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they attempted to provide medical assistance to the victims. Despite their efforts, the driver, a 17-year-old, and a 14-year-old passenger were pronounced dead.
A 17-year-old passenger was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. There are unconfirmed reports that all three victims were students at nearby Los Osos High School.

The cause of the deadly crash remains under investigation.
