Tragedy in Los Angeles
A tragic vehicular accident occurred Friday night in South Los Angeles, claiming the life of a 12-year-old girl and leaving nine people hospitalized. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident took place around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of 630 East Century Blvd., located in the Green Meadows neighborhood.
The accident involved three vehicles, triggering an immediate response from local emergency authorities. Upon arrival, rescue teams encountered a shocking scene: a 12-year-old girl, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found lifeless and pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, six adults and four minors were reported injured, including an adult driver who was trapped inside her vehicle and required extraction by firefighters. The driver was transported to the hospital in moderate condition, while the other injured managed to exit the affected vehicles on their own.
Three minors were taken to the hospital in moderate condition, while five adults were treated for minor injuries. At this time, authorities have not determined the exact cause of the accident, which remains under investigation.
Aerial footage provided by Sky5 showed severe damage to the involved vehicles, as well as a significant presence of law enforcement securing the scene and diverting traffic on nearby roads.
