Tragedy in Laguna Beach:
A 33-year-old pedestrian lost his life in a tragic accident on Thursday in Laguna Beach when he was struck by a vehicle. The collision occurred around 5 a.m. in the 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Road, south of the 73 toll road and east of Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, according to authorities.
The name of the victim has not been immediately released, but it was confirmed that he died at the scene. According to the police, the man was crossing Laguna Canyon Road before sunrise, outside of a crosswalk, heading toward a shelter for homeless individuals, when he was struck by a car.
