Tragedy in Kings County:
A 63-year-old man from Lemoore lost his life after a vehicle crash that occurred Thursday night in Kings County. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident happened around 7:40 p.m. on Fremont Avenue, near 21st Avenue, just northwest of Lemoore.
Officers stated that the man was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox westbound on Fremont when, for unknown reasons, he veered to the right side of the road. The SUV struck a mailbox, rolled onto its passenger side, and finally collided with a tree. Unfortunately, the driver died at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol do not appear to have been factors in the crash. While the exact causes of the accident remain under investigation, drivers are urged to exercise caution and stay alert on the road, especially in rural areas and at night.
