Tragedy in Imperial Beach:
IMPERIAL BEACH, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday in a collision with a pickup truck in a neighborhood at the south end of San Diego Bay.
The crash between the motorcycle and the Ford F-150 truck occurred at the intersection of Donax Avenue and 13th Street in Imperial Beach, shortly before 8:30 a.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s whose identity was not immediately available, died at the scene of the accident. No other injuries were reported.
The circumstances of the crash are under investigation, though intoxication was not believed to have been a factor, according to Sheriff's Lt. Patrick Fox.
