Tragedy in Fresno:
FRESNO COUNTY, California – A 19-year-old man died after the car he was driving was found in a canal near Sanger early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
CHP reported that they responded to a call around 5:45 a.m. at Rainbow and California avenues, where an overturned car was reported in a canal. Officers stated that the young man, who was in the driver's seat, was removed from the vehicle but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe that the 19-year-old driver was traveling southbound on Rainbow Avenue, south of California Avenue, when he veered to the right and ended up in the canal.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The identity of the young man killed in the crash was not immediately released.
