Tragedy in Arden Arcade
Last Friday, the community of Arden Arcade was shaken by a tragic incident in which a woman in a wheelchair lost her life after being struck by a truck. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) report, the fatal accident occurred around 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of Fulton and Alta Arden Expressway. At that time, the truck driver, a man approximately 40 years old, had stopped at a red light heading west on Alta Arden Expressway, while the woman in the wheelchair was waiting at the pedestrian crossing.
Eyewitnesses reported that the woman began crossing just as the truck began to make a right turn onto Fulton, at which point the tragic collision occurred. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, prompting an immediate response from emergency teams and local authorities.
It is important to note that, according to preliminary investigations, there is no suspicion of alcohol or drug influence contributing to the crash. However, the identity of the woman has not yet been disclosed by authorities, who continue to work on investigating the incident.
