A suspect is at large after allegedly ramming a San Pablo Police Department officer with a stolen car on Friday afternoon. The officer, who fired shots at the suspect, is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident started when officers spotted a stolen vehicle driving in the area of San Pablo Dam Road and San Pablo Avenue. However, the car accelerated towards the roadway, striking the officer. Simultaneously, the officer fired two rounds, hitting the front windshield of the suspect's car. Despite the SPPD's efforts to follow the car, it was lost sight of in Richmond. The suspect's car is described as a red 2018 Chevy Malibu with California license plate 8ZUH227, driven by an African American woman. There is no description available for the passenger.
