San Jose's First Fatal Crash

In a tragic incident early Monday morning, a woman lost her life after being struck by a vehicle in San Jose's Berry Park neighborhood, according to the local police. The fatal collision occurred in the vicinity of Skyway Drive and Monterey Road, just before 2 a.m. Despite immediate transportation to a nearby hospital, the woman tragically succumbed to her injuries, as confirmed by San Jose police via social media. This unfortunate incident marks the city's first fatal collision for the year, leaving the community in shock and grief. Authorities were swift to respond to the scene, leading to the closure of a segment of southbound Monterey Road stretching between Skyway Drive and Branham Lane.
