Monterey:
In Monterey, a trailer carrying a classic car caught fire Wednesday evening on Highway 68 near York Road around 6 p.m., causing significant traffic delays. The fire led to a temporary road closure, diverting vehicles while emergency crews worked to extinguish the blaze.
Shortly after the fire, a two-vehicle accident occurred, involving a totaled Alfa Romeo, which further complicated the situation. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident.
After about an hour and a half of disruption and detours, the road was reopened, restoring normal traffic flow. Emergency crews acted swiftly to clear the area and resume traffic.
