Highway 99 crash in Tulare:
TULARE COUNTY, Calif. – A man is hospitalized after a crash in which his vehicle overturned on Highway 99 in Tulare County. The incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. when the California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a report of a crash near Avenue 96, south of Pixley.
According to officials, a 39-year-old man was driving a Chevy Colorado southbound on Highway 99 when the vehicle lost control, overturned, and ended up on its roof. The driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Kaweah Health Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and have indicated that alcohol may have been a contributing factor. However, it has not yet been officially confirmed if the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
