Highland Springs Road Collision
In a Sunday vehicle crash on Highway 29 near Highland Springs Road, four people sustained injuries, with one individual's condition being labeled as serious, according to Sgt. Joel Skeen of the California Highway Patrol's Clear Lake office.
The incident involved Jennifer Taylor, who was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion northbound on Highway 29, and George Kieffer, who was operating his 2005 Ford F-250 in a westbound direction within the same area. The collision occurred as both vehicles entered the intersection, resulting in a broadside crash.
A passenger in the Ford Fusion endured major injuries and was urgently airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center. Meanwhile, Jennifer Taylor, George Kieffer, and a passenger accompanying Kieffer suffered minor injuries and were subsequently transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital.
Sgt. Skeen highlighted that all individuals in the involved vehicles were wearing seat belts, and no signs of drugs or alcohol impairment were suspected in connection with the crash.
