In Sacramento, California, a 32-year-old man died after a crash on eastbound US-50 on Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident occurred near the 65th Street on-ramp to US-50 East around 10:35 p.m. The South Sacramento CHP responded to reports of a major injury accident in the area.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the 32-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on US-50, west of 65th Street, at an unknown speed. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a freeway sign and guardrail, ultimately ending up on the on-ramp to 65th Street.
When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they determined that the driver had died from his injuries.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office will release the driver's name once next of kin have been notified.
