Crash in Turlock

The Turlock Unified School District community is in mourning following a tragic accident that claimed the life of beloved basketball coach John Williams. The coach, who had dedicated over two decades of his life to the Turlock High School Bulldogs, was killed in a three-car crash on Friday. John Williams's legacy as a coach was marked by his passion for the sport and the positive impact he had on countless players and their families. Turlock Unified expressed their deep sorrow over the loss and extended their thoughts and condolences to his family during this difficult time. They also announced the availability of counselors for students and recommended using the Crisis Text Line for immediate support. The fatal accident occurred around 4 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of West Christoffersen Parkway and Kilroy Avenue in Turlock, leaving multiple others injured. The entire community was shocked by the sudden loss of such a well-loved figure. In response to this tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign was initiated to provide support to John Williams's grieving family. The campaign described him as a "larger than life person, a great friend, amazing coach, and someone who would do anything for his family." In just one weekend, the campaign raised over $45,000 to help the family during this challenging time.
