Fatal crash in San Francisco:
One person died after two vehicles crashed through a fence on Point Lobos Avenue near Cliff House in San Francisco on Tuesday evening, according to the fire department. The first 911 call reporting the accident came in at 4:40 p.m., as confirmed by the San Francisco Fire Department.
For unknown reasons, two vehicles traveling on Point Lobos Avenue veered off the road, crashed through a fence, and fell down a cliff, according to the fire department. Videos from the scene show that one of the vehicles may have hit a building, breaking a few windows and leaving what appear to be tire marks on the wall.
Both vehicles had a single occupant. One of the drivers died at the scene, while the other sustained only minor injuries.
The San Francisco Police Department has taken over the investigation of the accident. Point Lobos Avenue remained closed in both directions until 5:40 p.m.
