Fatal accident in Placer County:
A motorist lost their life on Monday following a solo accident in which their vehicle struck a utility pole on a stretch of Placer County highway near Lincoln. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), officers from the Auburn office responded to the crash, which occurred at 8:52 a.m. on Highway 65 near Riosa Road in Sheridan.
CHP incident logs indicate that the driver, operating a white GMC Yukon, lost control and collided with the pole. Witnesses at the scene suggested that the motorist may have experienced a medical emergency prior to the collision. However, the CHP did not provide further details on this possible cause.
