A fatal crash in Long Island left two teenagers dead and two injured after a drunk driver of Indian origin collided with a car. Amandeep Singh, 34, has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, first-degree vehicular homicide, second-degree reckless homicide, leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, driving while intoxicated, and two counts of second-degree assault. Singh had twice the legal blood alcohol concentration at the time of the collision, and had previously been convicted of driving while intoxicated and gang assault as a teenager. The driver fled the scene after the crash but was later arrested and transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. The trial is scheduled for May 8.
