Deadly Sacramento Crash
Sacramento was shaken by a tragic incident early Friday morning, as a two-vehicle collision resulted in the death of a man, according to authorities.
The Sacramento Police Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) dispatched detectives to the scene of the crash, which occurred shortly before 3 a.m. at the intersection of Auburn Boulevard and Roseville Road, near Marconi Circle beneath the Marconi Avenue overpass.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered one vehicle had veered off the road, overturned, and struck a power pole. Tragically, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders from the Sacramento Fire Department. Fortunately, the occupants of the second vehicle were unharmed, as confirmed by a sergeant present at the site.
Authorities have indicated that the Sacramento County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the deceased once his family has been notified.
As of now, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
