Crash in Merced County

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic single-car crash that occurred in Merced County, resulting in the unfortunate death of a 36-year-old man. The incident took place on Monday, at approximately 8:45 pm, on Russell Avenue, situated just north of Interstate 5, south of Los Banos. According to the authorities, the driver, a resident of Newman, lost control of his Honda, causing it to veer off the east side of Russell Avenue and collide with an empty irrigation ditch.
