Accident in Earlimart
In a tragic incident that unfolded in Tulare County early Friday morning, a 51-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman lost their lives after running a stop sign and colliding with another vehicle. The California Highway Patrol reported that the fatal crash occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 48 and Road 160, near the town of Earlimart.
The male driver was operating a Nissan vehicle while traveling along Road 160. As he approached the intersection with Avenue 48, he failed to yield the right of way, disregarding the stop sign. Unfortunately, at the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling along Avenue 48 with the proper right of way, resulting in a catastrophic collision when the two vehicles met. Tragically, the collision proved fatal for both the male driver and his female passenger, who were in the Nissan.
