The accident took place shortly after 8 p.m. in the westbound direction near Paradise Road, as per the California Highway Patrol's findings.
A female victim, suffering from severe injuries, was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by a Calstar medical helicopter, according to a spokesperson from the Fire Department.
