Crash in Apple Valley

A tragic accident occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, June 29, on Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley, when a man lost his life in a collision between two vehicles. According to the report from the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, the incident took place around 4:00 p.m., just west of Kiowa Road. The man, identified as the sole driver of a Toyota Corolla, was attempting to make a left turn into a parking lot when the collision occurred with a patrol car from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. The patrol car was responding to an emergency call, with lights and sirens activated, while traveling westbound on Bear Valley Road. The outcome of the collision was fatal for the Corolla driver, who tragically passed away at the scene of the accident. In contrast, the police officer sustained minor injuries and received medical attention as a precaution. Both vehicles sustained severe damage to their front ends, with debris from the Toyota scattered along Bear Valley Road, primarily in front of the Dollar General store. Authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the accident.
