Collision with Redding Electric Pole:
In Redding, California, a car crash caused power outages throughout the city after a vehicle struck a Redding Electric Utility pole. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on the 2200 block of Churn Creek Road, where both Redding police and fire department responded to the collision.
Upon arrival, they found a 24-year-old man outside the vehicle who appeared to be experiencing a medical issue. The man was transported to a local medical facility for further treatment.
Due to the crash, areas including Churn Creek, East Cypress, Hilltop Drive, and Bechelli Lane experienced power outages. The southbound lanes of Churn Creek near Industrial Street are closed while Redding Electric works to restore power.
Police advise avoiding the affected area and treating any intersections without functioning signals as four-way stops.
